Trip Report: D23’s Epcot 30th Anniversary Celebration, Part I

Today I give you not one, but one-and-a-HALF updates, since I just discovered that part of the last update didn’t make it into the post. To read all of Day 1, click HERE!

Then you can read about Day 2, which D23 had scheduled so full that it will take me two or maybe even three installments to cover. Part 1 covers the first half of the Epcot 30th Anniversary Celebration panel, with lots of photos of semi-obscured TV screens. Hooray…?

Before lunch, we saw “Epcot: The Dawn of a New Disney Era,” with virtual Marty Sklar; “We Can Do It!” a panel of folks who were instrumental in opening Epcot; “Looking Back at Tomorrow,” a fantastic collection of rare and never-before-seen concepts from the Epcot that never was; and “Makin’ Memories: Epcot on Film,” which was about just what it says.
