Below are sample menus and bar pricing for Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings and Disney Catered Events.
There are NO set menus for most venues. ALL MENUS FOR EVERY EVENT ARE CUSTOMIZABLE, although certain items may not be available at every venue. California Grill, Tiffins, and Enchanted Rose require you to choose items from set menus, but you can usually swap them among the menus offered.
Everywhere else, YOU ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE ITEMS ON THESE MENUS—think of them as suggestions. You may mix and match items among menus. You may request items found at restaurants around Walt Disney World or even ask them to re-create a family favorite.
You can have brunch items at dinnertime and dinner items at 9am, if you want. You can also ignore any minimum guest counts you may see, since you can customize any menu for any group size.
I have included older menus for reference, because you can always request something as a custom item even if it’s not on the current menus.
Meal & Bar Menus
Although there are separate menus, you can request any of the items on these menus at any location—you are not limited to the menu listed for your location or to Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings menus vs. “Global” or “Complete” (i.e., anywhere at Walt Disney World) menus. The only limitations have to do with whether certain items must be served at a plated meal or at a buffet.

Enchanted Rose + Grand Floridian Private Dining Menus
Private Dining at the Grand Floridian provides menus for private events at Enchanted Rose, small events on the Grand Floridian’s balcony arranged through Private Dining, and catering for Happily Ever After fireworks cruises departing from the Grand Floridian Marina. Menu tastings are not available, but you should be able to swap items among the various Private Dining menus or pay extra to have dishes from the menus of Citricos or Narcoosee’s (if they are open at the time of your event).

Some of the menus have a few photos in them, but your best bet is to join one of the Facebook Disney bride groups and then search for or post a question about the ones you’re looking for.
Does Bill on Consumption count towards the food and beverage minimum?
“Bill on Consumption” is just a way to pay for drinks. Any drinks purchased count toward the food-and-beverage minimum no matter how you decide to pay for them: via a pre-paid package, via bill-on-consumption or via a cash bar where your guests pay for their own drinks.
Hi Carrie! We’re planning our reception at seabreeze point but really had our hearts set on a plated meal. Disney said that basically any outdoor venue would be buffet only. Do you know anything about the rarely mentioned food prep tent? Is that something we could add on to get plated food as an option in an outdoor venue?
Definitely ask them about it. It’s $800 or more to add, but the real impediment would be whether there’s actually space to set it up. You might have to be OK with it being set up right on the lawn there. Still, it is always worth asking!
One thing I’m super confused by and having trouble finding information on — are our guests allowed to select from multiple entrees at they would be able to do at a traditional wedding? Not sure how there could only be one entree option, what if someone is a vegetarian, for example? Is it much extra have 2-3 entree options to select from?
Hi Kelly! If you have my Fairytale Weddings Guide, this is all explained on page 94. One option is to ask your guests to choose an entree from a select number of choices in the invitation and then provide their selections to your planner 30 days out from the event. This is free, and it’s how they handle vegetarian and other special-diet meals. OR you can do what Disney calls “Crown Service,” where the kitchen makes multiple entrees for every guest and has them available to choose from on the spot, the day of the reception. But this option is extremely pricey because you have to pay for ALL the entrees for every guest, even though they only choose one apiece.
Is there a current Cali Grill dinner menu?
So far the menus have not changed since 2018.
If you get the signature liquor open bar, does that include beer and wine- or is beer and wine in addition to that?
Yes! Check out page 2 of the 2019 bar document. It lists all the Signature wine and liquor brands that come with that package. The beers are the same in every package.
Question? Can you have a signature cocktail instead of a full bar?
Yes! People often do this with brunch, like if all they want to serve is mimosas.
We are looking at an Escape package with the ceremony at Luau Pointe, and thinking about adding on a brunch. My parents also have DVC and since the Top of the World Lounge can be rented out now, we were thinking of doing a dessert style party there. If we wanted to add on a small brunch as well, are there options at either Grand Floridian or Wilderness Lodge for that? I think it would be cool to either stay around the monorail or Bay Lake for all of the events.
Oops – followup to my previous post – just got off the phone with DVC and the member discount isn’t available when also using DFTW, and fireworks dessert parties are a no. We are waiting for a follow up phone call from Disney events – but I’m guessing we won’t be allowed to wear our wedding attire if we try to book a brunch reception as a separate event through events instead of DFTW?
Technically if you don’t book an event through Disney Fairy Tale Weddings, you’re not allowed to wear wedding attire, but this is easier to enforce at in-park events than resort events. You can add on brunch through your Escape planner, and s/he may even be able to get you Top of the World Lounge, which they have been using for Wishes events for many years now. Otherwise, they can get you a ballroom at the Grand Floridian or the Contemporary. There is no catering team at Wilderness Lodge, so they can’t do catered events there.
Hey there! Love your book and I’m so excited I got it. One thing my fiancé and I were planning on doing is hosting a dessert party for our guests, however we are both vegan. Our reception will be 100% vegan and I know Disney can accommodate. But I’m unsure about desert parties specifically. Do you have any insight?
Yes, Disney can accommodate special diets at any type of function. I have interviewed several couples on the Disney Wedding Podcast who had vegan dessert party menus!
We are looking to do a celebration after our ceremony. Would we want to look at the cocktail hour/pre-reception menu to get an idea for our menu? Can we do any of the stations? We were thinking of the celebration at Epcot during the fireworks!
That would be a good place to start but, yes, you can also do action stations AND they can modify pretty much anything to work at a walk-around style event like a celebration. So don’t feel like you’re restricted to just what’s on those menus.
If we are having a dessert party at Epcot, can we only choose the set menu items for the parties, or can you say pick the Donald package and swap out one item for macaroons?
Check out the second sentence at the top of this page: All menus are customizable! You can pick a set menu and change a few things on it. You can combine two or more menus. You can create a menu from scratch. You can have the chef create a menu from scratch based on a theme. You are not limited to what’s on any menu your planner sends you.
I am not sure if I missed this somewhere but I don’t see in the book or on the website anywhere that mentions dessert options for a reception. Is this the dessert party? Because it sounds like they are different, maybe I just misunderstood it. If we are having a lunch buffet is there any dessert included or do I have to add on items from the dessert party menu?
If you look at some of the “All Meals” sample menus, you’ll see that many of the suggested menus do include dessert options. But every menu is customizable and few people just get X menu from these PDFs. They completely customize every item on their menus, adding whatever appetizers, mains, sides and desserts they want. Also, it is not usually recommended to pay for a dessert with your reception menu if you’re also serving cake, because you want people to eat the cake you’ve paid $$$ for!
My fiance and I really want a dessert party “reception” with a poutine bar which I have seen before but I do not see any pricing options for that. Do you have any information on that?
Because every menu is a custom menu, you may not see every option on the standard menus. Your planner will be able to get you a quote from the chef, and it will vary depending on what you want on the bar. For example, if you want lobster, it’s going to cost more than if you just do bacon. I would estimate that, on average, a poutine bar is priced similarly to the DIY macaroni and cheese bar, which may be in one of the menus on this page.
Hi Carrie! My fiancé and I are interested in having brunch at the California Grill after our 12 o’clock ceremony. I saw the menu above, but wondered if it was possible to add alcohol to the buffet lunch option. I’m not sure we’d need a full bar, but wondered if we had choices/could even just add mimosas.
You can always add a bar to any type of event at any location. If you check out the bar menu on this page, you can see the different types of bars. There’s one that’s just beer and wine, or you could just do the soda and water one (but remove the waters and have them serve pitchers of water instead—it’ll save you a bundle). Or you could just add a specialty beverage like mimosas.

Yes! You can put pretty much anything on your beverage packages. Just let them know exactly what you want!

Hi Kathryn! Yes, you can have the cake served at the dessert party—no need to have a separate celebration event just for that! The one thing to consider is that if you also want to have first dances, you’ll need to have a musician or a sound system at your DP. But if you’re paying for the Happily Ever After soundtrack, you could use that sound system.
i want to have my reception at Canada Terrance cake and Champaign. con you have savory options appetizers with the cake and Champaign reception? and can you have that type of reception in the morning?
Yes! You can have any kind of appetizers you want, and it doesn’t matter what time of day it is!

Hi! Time is irrelevant when it comes to menus. You can have any menu at any time of day, because every menu is a custom menu. The set menus you see here are just suggestions. If you’re wondering about what Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings counts as brunch/lunch/dinner for purposes of calculating your per-person food and beverage minimums, these are listed on page 9 of the Fairytale Weddings Guide!
If I’m having a lunch buffet reception in a GF ballroom, is cake cutting included in the $165/per person or do I have to pay extra for cake cutting for dessert?
You reception and pre-reception food, all beverages, and the price of your cake count toward the $165/person food and beverage minimum required to have a Disney’s Fairy Tale Wedding with a lunch reception. This is explained in detail on page 9 of the Fairytale Weddings Guide. There is no cake-cutting service fee for events held at the Grand Floridian Convention Center. This is explained on page 12. Hope this helps!
I keep seeing on the menus “20 person minimum”. What happens if I have less like 15?
You can ignore that. I have never, in 15 years, heard of them telling a group under 20 that they can’t have a particular menu. All menus are customizable anyway, so you could just tell them you want to create your own menu and then ask for everything on that sample menu!

Hi Carolyn! Yes! As mentioned at the top of the page, ALL menus are customizable. Just because it’s called a “dessert party” doesn’t mean you have to stick to desserts. You can ask them to re-create food from any theme park or festival. I have had items from the International Food & Wine Festival at past parties, and they were very good!
I’m super confused! If I had a small ceremony (8 people, inc couple) at Luau Pointe, followed by a dinner at Narcoossee’s would that dinner count towards my minimum? I’m not sure whether it counts as a catered event if we just wanted a table in the restaurant. Also, if we then booked a fireworks cruise (probably grand yacht 1) for that same evening, would that count?
Hi! Only a private, catered event would count toward the Event Minimum. So if you booked a private brunch in Narcoossee’s via your wedding planner, before it opened to the public, that would count. If you make a regular dining reservation there, it would not count. A fireworks cruise would not count because it is not booked via your wedding planner. A private fireworks dessert party would count.
Can the Disney Fairy Godpeople make Dole Pineapple Soft Serve available at a dessert party at EPCOT Italy in time for the fireworks? TIA
I think right now they are saying yes. Sometimes they say that they can’t get the soft serve machine out to various countries in EPCOT. Also, they will let you know that it’s not the actual Dole Whip served at the Polynesian—it’s pineapple soft serve that approximates Dole Whip.
I am trying to understand pre-reception guidelines. How does pre-reception costs tie into food minimums. Are there two minimums? One for pre-reception and one for reception? Where can you have your pre-reception if your reception is at a ballroom or The Attic at Boardwalk?
Hi! This is explained on pp.9-10 of the Fairytale Weddings Guide: Pre-reception costs count toward the Event Minimum, the $140/$175/$210 per-person food and beverage minimums, *and* any venue-specific food and beverage minimum at the location you choose for the pre-reception. You can have your pre-reception in the same place as your reception (like at the Attic), unless you are transferring floral and decor from the ceremony to the reception, in which case you need to be elsewhere so Disney can decorate. If you choose a separate venue for the pre-reception and it happens to have its own food and beverage minimum, you will need to meet that with the pre-reception food and drinks. But if your reception is in a ballroom and you have your pre-reception in another nearby ballroom, there are no venue-specific food and beverage minimums to meet at either place, because they’re ballrooms!
Hello I am trying to figure out if there is a different per person minimum for children and how bar packages work around that. I’m ballparking 50 guests (15 are children) wanting a Dessert party at UK Lochside (so $100/per person minimum) but am wondering if I pay the same per person price for the apps and desserts buffet or would they be 1/2 the adult price like receptions for the 15 children (so for instance the Prince Charming menu at $69/adult and $34.50/child)? Also how do bar packages work with minors? Do I only pay for the amount of guests that are 21+ for the bar package I choose, can the kids still have a juice or water from the bar or would I need a station or something is that priced separate, like the juices by the gallon? I’m not worried about meeting the F&B minimum overall as I know what I want already is more than it, but wondering if the children’s prices will save me some on the total!

Hi! OK, first off, celebrations (like dessert parties) have the same per-person minimum for all guests, regardless of age. So if it’s $100/person, that includes spending $100 for each kid. The pro-rated pricing for kids is only available for full receptions (events 3 hours or longer). For bar packages, you are charged the per-person price of whatever tier you choose for all adults, and then kids are charged at the per-person price for a Soft Drinks & Bottled Water bar package (pricing on p. 108). So if you chose the Premiun Package bar for 2 hours, adults would be charged at $42/each and kids would be charged at $24/each (the price of the soft drinks + water package for 2 hours). Hope this helps!
We are having a full rehearsal dinner at Epcot the night before our wedding, and then reception at California Grill. Will we have the chance to go to a tasting? Or does this not apply to rehearsal dinners?
Technically, yeah, if your reception is at CA Grill you don’t get invited, and if you were only doing an additional event in EPCOT you wouldn’t either. But I would still ask your sales consultant or event planner if you can come to a tasting since you’re doing a full dinner in EPCOT. It never hurts to ask!
