    Hi Carrie!,

Post COVID, does the GF still do speciality cakes? I’m looking to get a mini replica of our wedding cake we ordered there for our wedding. Thank you!

Yes, it’s one of the few places that does! All the info on this page is current, so you can see the options in the Grand Floridian section.

Thanks Carrie! So much has changed, I’m so glad this is still an option!

I’m taking my wife to epcot in June for her 40th. How does one order a cake to be delivered with our dinner reservation at epcot?

    • Carrie
      March 6, 2023

It depends on the restaurant. If you scroll up to the EPCOT section of this page, the restaurants that offer custom cakes are listed, along with the phone numbers to call! If the restaurant you’re dining at doesn’t offer custom cakes, you can order one for pickup at the Grand Floridian using the info on this page.

Hello, I will be visiting Disney world in March 2022 for my birthday and would love to have a churro cake for my birthday cake. Is it possible for a guest to get a 8 inch or 10 inch churro birthday cake or do they only do the basic flavors for something like that?

    • Carrie
      January 26, 2022

It depends on who makes it, which depends on where you need it. Your best bet is to call Grand Floridian Private Dining at the number above and see if they can deliver where you need the cake. Otherwise, they may let you pick it up at the Front Desk. If you’re able to work with them, they can definitely do an 8- or 10-inch churro cake!

Hi Gloria! That sounds like fun! Disney stopped offering custom cakes inside Magic Kingdom a while ago, and now with COVID you have to be dining at one of a handful of Deluxe resorts—or be willing to go pick up there—in order to get a custom cake. If you’re willing to go pick up a cake, call the numbers listed below for the Grand Floridian, Contemporary or Yacht & Beach Club. The restaurant cast members should be able to sing Happy Birthday, though! You probably have a better chance of that happening at Cinderella’s Royal Table just because it’s less hectic.

hi, I’m looking to order cake at animal kingdom, is there an email I can use, phone doesn’t seem to be working

        • Carrie
          October 12, 2021

Hi! Per the note at the top of the page, Animal Kingdom is not one of the three resorts doing specialty cakes at the moment. You can try calling the number on this page for Grand Floridian Private Dining (or using the email) to see if they will deliver a cake to AK for you. They’ve been pretty accommodating lately, so hopefully they can help you!

Is WDW still doing special order cakes since COVID19 has changed everything? I got on DISBoards and there seems to be a lot of confusion even if and if so, who, is providing cakes right now.

    • Carrie
      January 8, 2021

The pastry teams are slowly coming back, but some of the resorts are still closed. The Grand Floridian, Contemporary and Yacht & Beach Club are the only ones I know of that are definitely doing cakes right now.

Hello! I am celebrating a birthday in January 2020. We are staying at the Riviera resort… any news on what will be available there? Trying to plan ahead a little. I would love to have a cake or a white chocolate character delivered to the room. Thanks!!

    • Carrie
      November 20, 2019

Right now it seems like you can only order things for delivery via Disney Floral & Gifts (though they do have a generic cake they can deliver). I’ll update when I can find out what the situation is. It may be like the new Destino Tower, where Yacht & Beach Club is making and delivering the cakes….

Thanks for providing all the details and making it easy for us to find all the information.
I called Takumi-Tei and inquire about getting a celebration cake but was informed by their manager that they do not offer celebration cake and do not have place to store them. If you wish to bring a cake you could do so but it will have to stay with you at at the table which was a bit of a disappointment as doing so will ruin the element of surprise.

Hey Deborah, while the cakes are certainly pricey, Erin McKenna is actually very well established (BabyCakes was the previous name of her bakery). She has been in NYC for more than a decade and my friends and I have been going to the tiny, unassuming bakery for at least that long. My son had a classmate who has gluten/lactose/egg allergies, and try as I might, BabyCakes made yummier desserts suitable for him that anything I tried to make. It wasn’t even in my neighborhood but worth the hike. Soy-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, vegan — not many places can do all that in their desserts. 😉
So for what its worth, if you want to consider this bakery, you can rest assured that Erin McKenna is not an unknown. I find very little else in the Orlando area that can address multiple food allergies so well when it comes to dessert. Dunno if they can make a Haunted Manson cake, but, in truth, a Disney cake does not cost that much less (I’m trying to get a Princess Cake for a friend’s daughter). Oh, and I am not affiliated with Erin McKenna or her bakery in anyway.
    Happy birthday to your daughter!

    October 25, 2018

I was just told that they’ve gotten rid of the Mickey Mouse face cake across the property (although she wasn’t sure of Magic Kingdom). Sad, but we found another option my son will love.

    • Carrie
      October 25, 2018

Thanks for sharing that info. Any of the Deluxe Resort pastry teams can re-create the Mickey face cake as a custom cake, but it’s good to know that this is no longer a standard option. The Magic Kingdom no longer offers ANY type of custom cake, just the standard options described here.

I have been trying to order a celebration cake for our character dinner at Crystal Palace on October 18, 2018 but can never get to the right person. Celebrating my daughter’s birthday and this would be a surprise. Is there an email address where I can order the cake? Thank you.

    • Carrie

Hi Mary! The email address for the Magic Kingdom is listed on this page under “Magic Kingdom”: [email protected]

    September 7, 2018

Hi! My daughter and husband will be going to WDW early next year for a conference and she is celiac. I am not sure if any of the pastry teams can do gluten free. I know there are lots of other GF desserts, but she has fond memories of her Haunted Mansion birthday cake from before her diagnosis.

    Could you please guide me?
    Thanks!

    • Carrie
      September 7, 2018

Hi Deborah! So Disney is now referring all requests for gluten-free cakes to Erin McKenna’s Bakery at Disney Springs. They offer a standard 6-inch cake for $52—all the details are in the FAQ here.

      • Deborah
        September 9, 2018

Thanks, Carrie. That is what we feared. Way too pricey for a plain cake that size from an unknown entity. I really appreciate your help!

        • Carrie
          September 9, 2018

Sure thing! I wish I had better news. Disney used to bend over backwards to accommodate allergies for cakes, but now that Erin McKenna’s is on property, they don’t seem to want to even try.
