Do you remember what time of day were these taken?

    Hi!

It is our second marriage and we are looking at the escape package for us and our three children.
However, I know that friends and family would like to be there…

We are thinking of having the private escape package for the ceremony (5 of us) and then organizing a dinner for around 30 people later on in the day – would that be possible?!

    Thanks 🙂
    Sarah

Hi Sarah! The Escape Collection allows you to have up to 20 people total—were you thinking about doing Memories? That one allows only 6 people total. Either way, there have been Disney brides who did small ceremonies and followed them with a meal for everyone later—either a large-party restaurant reservation or a private catered event. As long as your guests are OK with traveling to Disney but not getting to attend the actual ceremony, you’ll be fine! If you want a private party and are doing an Escape event, your Disney’s Fairy Tale Wedding planner can make all the arrangements. If you want a private party and are doing Memories, you’ll need to work through Disney Catered Events.

Thanks Carrie, Yes it was the Memories ceremony (for just us and our 3 children) then a meal for everyone else. Thanks for your answer 🙂

    Hi!

Do you know if they allow an escape package with Luau Beach as the ceremony venue? I’ve tried researching online but haven’t seen it done. My dream is to have a Hawaiian Themed ceremony but unfortunately I have more than 4 guests.

    Thanks!

Hi Mari! So, unfortunately they are completely inflexible on Escape ceremony locations. The package is designed for them to be easy to pull off, so they offer almost no modifications. They can help you do a Hawaiian-themed ceremony at Sea Breeze Point by adding floral and decor. Alternatively, you could do a small Wishes event and take your pick of locations. If they won’t let you use Luau Beach (though they have done receptions there in the past), there are two beaches at the Beach Club you can choose from. If your date falls in Jan-April or July-August you can take advantage of their Wishes Catered Event pricing, which brings the cost almost down to Escape pricing (though tax and service charge are extra). This episode of the podcast talks about the pros and cons of Escape vs. the Wishes Catered Event (just know that it was recorded before the new date restrictions I mentioned were imposed): https://disneyweddingpodcast.com/2016/06/22/mini-wishes-catered-event-experience/
