I started Disney Travel Babble back in 2010 as a place to archive all the ginormous trip reports I’d posted on the Disboards. But it quickly became a repository for all the other bits of Disney research I’d amassed—mainly my guide to the confounding process of ordering custom cakes at Walt Disney World and tons of information and photos to supplement my Fairytale Weddings Guide.
I’m pleased to announce that all that wedding information now has a home of its own under the PLANNING RESOURCES tab on FairytaleWeddingsGuide.com!
My proudest achievement is an all-new Walt Disney World Wedding Venue Photo Gallery, designed to replace the one on Disney Travel Babble with more images of more locations in a format that’s prettier and easier to use. Disney offers only a partial selection of ceremony and reception locations on their site, so I’ve compiled photos of all the options. And I’ll keep updating the gallery as I get more photos and Disney offers new locations!
I’ve also moved over my huge collection of wedding and catered event menus. When planning a private event at Walt Disney World, many people don’t realize that every menu is customizable—you don’t have to go off the one sample menu that Disney sends you. And because you can have anything you want, whenever you want it, I’ve been collecting past sample menus for years in order to catalog the huge array of options. You’ll find all of them on the Catered Event Menus page.
The Wedding Cake Styles & Pricing page links you to cake design and pricing documents, shows you how to order your very own Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings white chocolate castle cake topper, and contains details on the Internet-famous projection-mapping wedding cake.
You’ll also find a page devoted to photos of the Escape Collection’s standard wedding cake options, so you can see what they look like in real life, and the numerous bouquet and floral decor options for Escape weddings.
If you’re planning a Walt Disney World wedding or vow renewal, the new-and-improved FairytaleWeddingsGuide.com can be used in conjunction with my Fairytale Weddings Guide and the Disney Wedding Podcast to find all the information you need to plan the event of your dreams!
